Nature is full of simple but beautiful patterns. Remember to take the time to observe all the wonderful patterns all around you. Following the pattern of the petals on a sunflower inspired Daisy to made a LEAF MANDALA . Would you like to make one too?

“Swaying in the breeze...
Every tree is part of my family.
Every tree tells a story...
Every tree I see teaches me.”

TO THE TOP by Jessie Farrell

Gumboot Kids can listen to Jessie Farrell's songs here .

Step 1

Head out on a nature walk and gather some leaves, flowers and pinecones — anything special that catches your eye. Remember t take only what's abundant and only take a little.

Step 2

Find a patch of grass in your backyard or a park. This is your canvas for the mandala. Place one of the treasures in the middle then place your treasures in a circular pattern around the centre. Go around and around, adding larger circles around the centre until you have completed the mandala.

Step 3

Take your time as you place your objects. Breathe deeply, smile and enjoy!
